John Allen Farlinger
Director, Executive Chairman, Interim CEO
Mr. Farlinger has held the position of Independent Director with the Corporation since May 24, 2017 and is a veteran venture and private equity backed executive and entrepreneur, and brings more than 20 years of experience in telecom, operations, technology and finance. Mr. Farlinger has held the position of Chairman and CEO of Urban Communications Inc. from July 8, 2014 until June of 2018. His past positions include Senior Vice-President of Teliphone Navigata-Westel from February 2013 to April 2014, CEO of Titan Communications/Galaxy Multimedia Inc. from 2009 to February 2013 and before that was the CEO and President of Silicon Valley based Adzilla Inc. from August 2004 until 2009. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Queen's University.
Chief Financial Officer
Trent Carman has more than 20 years of CFO experience, including over 15 years of healthcare industry expertise for both public and private organizations. Most recently he served as CFO for Vivos Therapeutics and prior to that was CFO at Air Methods Corp. (formerly Nasdaq: AIRM) for over 13 years. While at Air Methods, the largest air medical and air tourism operator in the United States, Carman was instrumental in driving the company's rapid growth through multiple M&A transactions and prudent financial management. Under his financial guidance, Air Methods completed five major acquisitions totaling approximately $565 million and secured $2.5 billion in financing. During his tenure, Carman was pivotal in growing Air Method's enterprise value from approximately $100 million to over $2 billion.
Carman began his professional career at KPMG in 1984. He holds a Master of Business Administration, with an emphasis in finance, from Indiana University.
Executive Vice President of Operations
Since 2011, Rasmussen served as senior vice president and territory director for UMB Financial Corporation ("UMB"), a multi-bank holding company offering complete banking and related financial services to commercial, institutional and personal customers nationwide. Rasmussen led UMB's financial centers and small business lending channels for its western territory, overseeing 30 financial center managers and over 300 associates with full profit and loss responsibility for the division. Given his financial experience, Rasmussen will also support Assure's financial planning and analysis.
Rasmussen earned his Executive Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
Vice President of Strategy
Webster has two decades of managerial and strategic leadership experience in the healthcare industry. Most recently he served as vice president of policy and health economics for Air Methods Corp. (formerly Nasdaq: AIRM), one of the largest air medical service companies in the world. While there, he was responsible for engaging with legislators, regulators and payers to articulate the economics of providing emergency air medical transportation.
He also served in a variety of management positions that included responsibilities such as negotiating in-network contracts with health insurance companies, cost trend analysis and the analytics around out-of-network billing as well as integrating acquisitions. Before Air Methods, Webster served in accounting roles at Arthur Andersen, LLP and Compliance Systems, Inc.
Webster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Hope College.
